So this week, David and I have alternated with the stomach flu. It was nasty and I am glad we are over it. He had a hard time sleeping at night, but I somehow managed to sleep just fine. :) This morning though at about 5:00, when I got up to make cupcakes (that is a whole other story), I heard him say, "Did you just say jeans suck and the sheets are crooked?" To which I answered, "No I did not say that...go back to sleep." We both have this weird habit of talking in our sleep. We try to keep a running list of things we say, but I can't remember all of them. Here are just a few...
1. Bret is in the suitcase (Said by me after our honeymoon...talking about our friend Bret from Mobile.
2. Roll over and keep it low...(said by David, and I don't know its origin.)
There are tons more, but these are the first that come to mind. I will post more when I think of them.

Anatomy, Anatomy....why are you so hard to me???
So as most of you know, in my spare time I am in nursing school....well, actually I am taking the anatomy classes before nursing school and boy do they suck. I have determined after taking this class that anyone who thinks we evolved from a big blob of goo is an idiot. There are so many things that go into making your body just function on a day to day basis that it is amazing...all the muscles, bones, nerves...it is really unbelievable. Okay, I will move on. So, in this class, we obviously have to learn everything about the body and there is a lot to know. So, I had my wonderful husband come up to class the other night and shoot pictures of all of the models that we have that we were tested on Monday night. It really helped me to be able to actually study the real thing instead of what is in the book, because they look totally different. So, while I do have undying devotion and gratitude to my husband for taking these 38 pictures for me to learn, I do have to make fun of him a little. Any of you that know David know he has an interesting sense of humor. So, that is where these pictures came from. We couldn't just go and take pictures of what I needed to study, we had to take pictures with the skeletons....hope you enjoy!!

Please notice the skeletons mouth in this last one..
As goofy as that was, we sure did have a good time. We got finished right before a girl from the next class walked in. Thank goodness she didn't see us.

Iron Bowl 2008...A Little Late
Well it has been a great year to be a BAMA fan. After many years of horrible seasons, this one has been great so far. Keep your fingers crossed for the Sugar Bowl!!! Here are some shots from the day!
The boys....Couch, David and McSwain
Me and David inside the stadium...
This was the Walk of Champions...I must admit something...in all of my years as a student and a BAMA fan, we have never been to the Walk of Champions....

Sheer excitment....ROLL TIDE!!
These are all the people we have sat around for the past 3 years. They are WONDERFUL!!!

The squirel
Some of you may not find this humorous, but we have had more fun with this squirel. It is a long story, but I will condense it. My friend Kelli has this stuffed squirel in her basement. We are not sure of where exactly it came from, but David has become obsessed with the squirel. The very first time we spent the night there was when the squirel was discovered. So now, every time we go there, David has to take some sort of picture with the squirel. So here are our shots from the most recent trip...

The craziest Friday ever!!
The Friday after Thanksgiving, I had too many obligations, and not enough time. All of my girlfriends from college were meeting in Birmingham for lunch where we were all going to meet Kent, Caroline's new boyfriend, and Emily, Jennifer and Dave's new baby girl. I knew I couldn't miss that event, so I headed off to Birmingham for lunch....after lunch I came straight back to Decatur for another dinner with my dear friend Laura Smith who has moved off to Arizona. After that dinner, David and I headed back to Birmingham to stay with Kelli and get ready for the Iron Bowl...it was A LOT of driving, but well worth it. I am so glad that I was able to see all of my friends and I am so blessed to have great ones!!
Kelli and Lindsey looking so cute...and no they did not coordinate this. I am so glad I didn't wear my houndstooth jacket!!
All the girls!!! I wish we all lived closer!!

Happy Late Thanksgiving!!
For this Thanksgiving, we had a first....I hosted for my moms ENTIRE family at our house. We really enjoyed it, but it was alot of work. Thankfully I have a wonderful husband that helps me with everything so it doesn't make things as difficult. Here are some shots from the evening...
This is my lovely mother....cutting the awesome strawberry pretzel salad!!
This is my Uncle Steve...also known as the best turkey cooker around. He has introduced us all to deep fried turkey and wow....now he is in charge of the turkey!
This is my grandmother and Aunt Janie..
Here are some pictures from Thanksgiving with David's family...we spend the night with them on Wednesday and have breakfast as our Thanksgiving meal together...
I love this one...David was letting all the kids take pictures of him and each of the other children....hilarious!

This is David when he was little...so cute!

Fun Times!
So it has been awhile since I have posted anything and I have a TON to catch up on....this first picture was from the Alabama vs. Mississippi State...the game that it was freezing and all the girls were walking around with nothing on their legs...more power to you, but I was snug as a bug!!
A couple of weeks ago, we got my nephew and took him out for the night...he is getting so big and I know that he will probably not want to go to Chucky Cheese much longer which breaks my heart....because it is my favorite place. I know that is weird, but I love that pizza, the games and all the fun there...so here are some pictures from our trip..

You all know I love my husband...and he loves his gadgets...he was one of those people in line at the Verizon store when the STORM came out...he isn't passionate about many things, and he doesn't have any expensive hobbies, but he has to have the latest and greatest in technology...God Bless Him...I love him though...dorky or not! :)
