Excuse Me....VIP Coming Through!!!

Wow....where have the Higginbotham's been? Mexico!! WAHOO! Remember me telling you that David bought me a cruise for my birthday in December...well, we just got back and had a great time. I will probably post some of this stuff in random order, but this first story is just too funny not to share. When we got to the port, we walked in the front door and we had to show our print off sheet that had our room number on it. The guy said, "Oh you are VIP's, take this...." It was like a hard plastic thing that said VIP in big letters on it. So, we proceed on up the escalator to the main floor. When we get up there there are literally HUNDREDS of people in line. Now, this ship holds over 2,000 people and I think half of them were in line. Well, this lady comes up to us and tells us to come with her to the VIP area. So we just kind of look at each other like, okay??? We wait for literally like 5 minutes and then another lady comes up and asks us to follow her. This is where it got interesting. Remember how I told you that there were literally hundreds of people in line....well, this lady starts leading us through them, asking them to move to the side, scoot over, get the crap out of the way, etc. She takes us to the front of the line, basically breaking in line in front of everyone. She then goes around to the back of the counter and starts checking us in. David and I look at each other dumbfounded and he tells her, "I hope you are going to stay with us on the rest of the cruise because these people behind us are really ticked!!!" Needless to say, it was the speediest we have ever gotten on the boat (or off for that matter) but we received a few threatening letters in our stateroom from rowdy guests...(j/k). Turns out, little did we know, if you book a certain grade room, you are considered a VIP. I guess that means, Very Idiotic Person because everybody basically gets the same thing on the boat, we just paid twice as much. However, we did decide after this experience we are going to have to save our pennies so we can do the whole VIP thing again. Sure as heck beats waiting in line! :)

We have never stayed in a balcony room before....I was so excited, even though it was like freezing outside!
