We spent the 4th on the river with some of our friends, Justin and Micah. We started out going to our "spot" that is inside the cove at Point Mallard, but not where all the boats hook together. We prefer a little privacy! We floated around for a couple of hours, and then decided to have some lunch, followed by a little tubing. I was really nervous that day just because of how many boats are in the water as well as all the "take my boat out once a year people" who have obviously forgotten the rules of the water. Anyways, we had a great time, minus a couple brushes with death. (Kidding) We were giving Micah a hard time because she didn't put any sunscreen on when she came out, and her skin was like roasted. Well, that afternoon when David and I got home, we realized we probably should have applied more than one coat of the ol' sunscreen. David has a circular spot on his shoulder that is burned, and my back is a little toasty as well. It was super fun though, so well worth it! Here are some shots from the day...
